2004

For the third consecutive year, the Our Savior's youth group participated in the 30 Hour Famine, sponsored by WorldVision. This year's dates: February 27-28, 2004.

Arrival at the church on Friday night. Everyone is ready to go!

Participants received a journal to write down their experiences and feelings during the famine.

At the stroke of midnight, Pastor Tracy officiates a funeral for the 29,000 children in the world who die from hunger each day.

The kids had a few "free time" opportunities to play games and have fun.

Chaperones were present to coordinate events and keep things running smoothly.

A perennial favorite -- the duct tape lift!

We baked homemade bread shortly before the famine's end, and we ate it shortly after.

On Sunday, February 29 and Wednesday, March 3, the youth group shared their experiences with the congregation at our regular worship services.
