Youth set their sights high for summer trip
Each year, our high school youth take a summer trip to grow in their faith, leadership skills, and enhance their understanding of the world. This year, our youth are looking towards France for their summer trip. Why France? Because that is where Taize is.

What is Taize?
From its beginning, the community has been inspired by two aims: to live in communion with God through prayer, and to be a haven of peace and trust in the midst of the human family.
A stay at Taize is an opportunity to seek communion with God in prayer, singing, silence, and reflection. It is possible to rediscover an inner peace, a meaning to life, and a new impetus.
Experiencing a simple life shared with others reminds us that life, as it stands, is the place where Christ is waiting for us.

It will be a trip to grow in faith and to connect with other young people around the world. The cost of the week at Taize is very low, but airfare is high, so the youth will be looking for a variety of ways to raise funds for this trip. If you are interested in coming on this trip, please contact Pastor Tracy as soon as possible. There is room for people of any age, but particularly those 30 and under.
Prayer Scarves spotted on youth
A new trend can be seen around town -- youth wearing scarves. Yes, it is cold outside, but we have seen many of our youth wearing scarves inside as well. Many thanks to the prayer shawl group for their hard work knitting the scarves for the youth who help on Thursday nights. They are very well loved, and it is a wonderful reminder to the youth to know they are prayed for.

Enjoy pictures from the 30 hour famine, an annual Our Savior's tradition: 2002 , 2003, and 2004.
