The Foundation's Ministry Our Savior's Lutheran Church Foundation grew out of a need to develop a solid financial base giving stability to our congregation's ministry in the years to come. An endowment fund was established to meet this need. What is the Foundation? The Foundation was initiated through a gift from Mr. Harry Johnson. Since then, numerous other individuals have made generous donations in support of the ministries of Our Savior's Lutheran Church Foundation. The Foundation is not organized for profit, and there is no capital stock. It is incorporated under the provisions of the laws of the State of Wisconsin, and no elected officers or members of the Board of Directors receive compensation for their services. Purposes of the Foundation The purpose of this endowment fund is to provide finances above the church's normal needs. If we are to be of service to our church and community, we must broaden our ministry and support worthwhile projects and programs. Therefore, earnings from endowments help meet needs that otherwise could not be satisfied. The principal amount is held in perpetuity, and only the earnings are used each year. Donating to the Foundation A memorial gift is an enduring method to perpetuate the memory of one you hold dear. Gifts and bequests to the Foundation can be made at any time by friends as well as members of the church. Gifts can be given to the Foundation in many forms such as cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance, charitable trusts, annuities, and gifts designated in your will. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. Inquires and gifts may be addressed to: Our Savior's Lutheran Church Foundation, 2219 Washington Avenue, Racine, WI 53405. |
